Allergy Awareness

Helping you stay safe, informed, and prepared.1

At Corsham Regis we understand that living with allergies can be challenging, but understanding your child’s triggers and knowing how to manage their symptoms, we can help them live confidently while at school. This page provides information about common allergies, symptoms, treatments, and emergency guidance.

The safety of our children at Corsham Regis is our priority. In line with Benedict’s Law, all staff are trained in allergy awareness and the use of EpiPens, enabling them to confidently support children with allergies and respond appropriately in an emergency. This training is updated annually to ensure staff stay up to date with any new advise.

Anaphylaxis Emergency

Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction that requires immediate medical attention.

If Someone Is Experiencing Anaphylaxis we would:

  1. Call emergency services immediately, followed by the parents.
  2. Use an adrenaline (epinephrine) auto-injector if available.
  3. Lay the person flat unless breathing is difficult.
  4. Monitor their condition until help arrives.
